Design Week asked us...
18/02/2010
1977 featured again in this weeks Design Week, but this time it was our opinion rather than our designs that made it in as we contributed to their Vox Pop column. With MP's now using iphone apps as a communication tool to help build relationships with their constituents, Design Week posed the question, "given the opportunity what would we design for our MPs?"
Here's what we said:
"Taking advantage of new communication interfaces is useless if the message being given is unclear. External behaviour and attitude are integral elements in brand communication, ones that can impact on the audiences' perception. My response to MP's would be to consider how they position themselves as a 'brand'. The public perception of MPs is always under scrutiny, and a clear definition of what the MP stands for, and a consistent delivery of this 'brand' message, would help them build relationships with their constituents."
