Ricky Gervais Live
29/04/2010

Wednesday night saw a jaunt up to Wembley Arena to see Ricky Gervais on his current comedy tour. Myself and around 4000 other people packed in to see the man who's brought us The Office, Extras, Flaminals, Podcasts, an animated series as well as several funny movies.
The 'Science' tour as its titled contains very little actual science, more musings and cutting humour that highlighted the unique perceptions of one of my favourite comedians. His story involving Ken Dodd, a bus load of octogenarians and a rather large lady in leggings was a perfect example of great story telling with a social message, all wrapped up in a beautifully offensive parcel.
If you are a fan of comedy, and enjoy seeing a person who obviously loves what he does then I couldn't recommend him highly enough. The only way the night could have been any better would have been a guest appearance by Karl Pilkington, but then maybe Wembley has a 'perfectly round head' policy on the door.
Cheers Jon
